Who to believe..

198354Chris Paul, Boozer, Bosh, Arenas, D-Wade, etc…… Who is coming to the Magic? I cannot wait until all these rumors are settled with and the season starts. It’s getting ridiculous on the net and even on the news stations including ESPN. I don’t know who to believe anymore. I heard on ESPN that Wade, James, and Bosh, all met in Miami last weekend; but on the Miami newspaper they said, “Wade was in Chicago at that time.” I don’t believe anything until I see them playing in a Magic jersey anymore. Anyways, I had to get that off my head, back to the Magic and their recent acquisitions.

The only real truth for any changes in the Magic roster right now is that they picked up Daniel Orton from Kentucky as their 29th pick in the first round and Stanley Robinson as their 59th pick. Orton stood at 6’10” and weighs 255 pounds.

"He has a good live body, good hands, good feet," Magic GM Otis Smith said shortly after making the pick. "He's got decent range with the ball and can pass the ball pretty good, and he's active. Probably what I liked about him more than a lot of that was his potential to be very good in our league."

Orton also said, "We talked about a lot of things, actually, all the way up to the pick," Smith said. "We wanted to keep the pick, but if our guys had not been there we had every intention of trading the pick."

You can view the pick any way you want. I’ve heard people talking on Magic message boards that this means they are looking to trade Gortat. I don’t want to even get into the rumor talking but I sure do hope not. Gortat is the Man and Orton can learn a lot from him and Dwight.

The Magic picked Stanley Robinson from Connecticut for their 59th pick.  Robinson is a decent three point shooter. He had some highs and lows at UConn. He had a 29 point game against Iona and followed that up 5 days later against Norte Dame in a conference match with 22 points and 16 rebounds.

The only thing I can say about all the rumors is IDK. We will all see what happens soon enough. I hope for the best for the team and I also hope Miami doesn’t land James, Bosh, and Wade, like I have been reading.
