Magic make a run at Bosh, Lebron, or D-Wade?

I keep hearing how the Magic are not a major player for bigtime free agents like LeBron, Chris Bosh or Dwyane Wade. I have just one question: Why not? This is a once-in-a-lifetime free agent class and I refuse to believe Magic GM Otis Smith isn't doing everything in his power to lure one of the big boys to Orlando.

WChris Boshhy wouldn't one of these guys be interested in the Magic? Orlando has two things that are vitally important to big-money free agents: (1) The chance to win a championship while playing alongside the most dominant big man in the league, (2) The chance to play where there is no state income tax.

The Magic should package anything and everything they can think of -- Vince Carter and his expiring contract, Marcin Gortat, Brandon Bass, J.J. Redick, Ryan Anderson, Mickael Pietrus, Stuff, Dante and Galante, three Magic dancers and four leftover boxes of "Blue and White Ignite" T-shirts – and offer it to Toronto for Bosh.

And, please, don't tell me it's impossible to make such a splashy move. That's what everybody was saying about the sorry Celtics a few years ago until they went out and somehow brought in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to join Paul Pierce.

Now look at the Celtics. They've already won one title since then and are now playing for another one -- the same one the Magic thought they would be playing for.
